The first Lewes Carnival
for over 20 years was held in June 2006.
Thanks to the marvellous support of our Sponsors
and Advertisers the hard work of all the stall holders and procession
entries, and the generosity of the people of Lewes, a profit of nearly
£5,000 was made.
Our picture shows the President of the Rotary Club of lewes Castle handing
a cheque for £5,000 over to Lewes Victoria Hospital which will provide
specialist medical equipment.
