The Rotary Club of Lewes Castle is continuing to support the local community by once again organising the Lewes Carnival. The net proceeds from the 2010 event raised around £3500 to purchase specialist equipment for Lewes Victoria Hospital, Lewes Family Contact Centre and Starfish. Although you may well have previously taken part we are contacting as many organisations as possible to ask for support in what we hope will once again be a very successful and fun day. Like last year the event will include a carnival procession, an event showground including stalls, live music and arena events.
Entry into the carnival procession will be free but each float will be issued with buckets with which to collect from appreciative members of the public and all money will be collected by carnival officials at the end of the procession.
